Begin the evening with dinner at Mimi’s Café. Start with Caesar salad; tomato bisque or corn chowder, then an entree of roasted turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy, corn bread dressing, fresh vegetables and orange-apple cranberry relish; thinly sliced roast beef heaped on a French baguette served with au ju sauce on the side and fresh fruit; grilled salmon served on top of French lentils; or linguine tossed with diced prosciutto, parmesan, peas and a light chardonnay sauce topped with a fried egg. Plus dessert of petite bread pudding with buttery whiskey sauce; petite apple cinnamon crisp topped with ice cream; or petite triple chocolate brownie sundae. Non-alcoholic drink included. First stop on our holiday tour - Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge which stands over six stories tall with authentic African- inspired architecture and the kraal African-village landscape design (a semi-circle design popular in Africa which offers expansive views of the surrounding savanna and its many animal inhabitants). Then off to the Wilderness Lodge, nestled among towering pine trees. View its soaring eight-story lobby complete with totem poles and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook rock formations and winding streams. Holiday decorations at the lodge are rustic in nature, keeping with the wilderness theme. End the evening at The Grand Floridian, Disney's flagship hotel, which features the graciousness of a bygone era in a stunning world of Victorian charm.
